Special guided tours for families: OCTOBER 2012
In October the Egyptian Museum offers to children and their families the opportunity to enjoy and discover the ancient Egyptian civilization thanks to several theme-based routes trough the museum.
Saturday 06th and Sunday 07th October, 2012 at 10:30 am “A CASA DI KHA”, a guided tour into the typical life and habits of a family lived 3.000 years ago. 1 hour, € 3.50 (only in Italian, for family)
Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th October, 2012 at 10:30 am “ANIMALI O DEI?” In the Ancient Egypt the divine presence is felt in everyday life. How could we recognize the way and art in which Gods express their huge power? A visit through the Museum’s halls will show children and their families the feature of each God. 1 hour, € 3.50 (only in Italian, for family)
Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October, 2012 at 10:30 am “UNA FAME DA OLTRETOMBA”: food for both body and spirit”, A guided tour explaining the importance attached to food in Pharaonic civilisation. What did they eat in those days? And what did they keep aside for the Pharaoh and his journey into the afterlife? 1 hour, € 3.50 (only in Italian, for family)
Saturday 27th October at 5:30 pm and Sunday 28th October, 2012 at 4:00 pm “L’ALIMENTAZIONE NELL’ANTICO EGITTO”. On the occasion of the International Salone del Gusto, the Egyptian Museum offers to its visitors a special guided tour focussed on food and drink in the ancient Egypt. The attention will be drawn to the products served both on the royal and on the common people’s table. 1 hour and 30 minutes, € 4,00 (only in Italian, for adults).
Saturday 27th, Sunday 28th , Wednesday 31stOctober, Thursday 01 st and Friday 02 ndNovember, 2012 at 10:30 am “SPIRITI E FANTASMI FARAONICI”. On the occasion of Halloween, the Egyptian Museum proposes a guided tour for children and their parents, where they must beat spirits, go trough on several dangers and ordeals to achieve their soul’s balance. Thanks to Gods and the magic, you will get in touch with a bewitched world, so disguise yourself to take heart! 1 hour, € 3,50 (only in Italian, for family with children of the Primary School, suggested).

By popular demand, the Egyptian Museum presents also this year the evening event of Halloween which is dedicated to the bravest children. The archaeologists of the Museum will guide our young visitors through the most “scary” aspects of the ancient pharaonic culture. Hitches and turns of events won’t miss! Disguise yourself and have fun with us! 1 hour, € 7,00 (children) and € 10,00 (adults), suggested to families with children of the Primary School. RESERVATION REQUIRED.
