Every Saturday and Sunday in November, the Egyptian Museum offers children and their families the opportunity to enjoy discovering the ancient Egyptian civilization through several theme-based tours of the museum.
Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd November, 2012 at 10:30 am “SPIRITI E FANTASMI FARAONICI”. On the occasion of Halloween, the Egyptian Museum offers children and their parents a guided tour where they must conquer spirits, brave several dangers and ordeals and ultimately achieve their soul’s balance. Thanks to the gods and to magic, you will communicate with a bewitched world, so disguise yourself to keep safe! 1 hour, € 3,50 (only in Italian, for families, particularly those with children at primary school).
Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd November, 2012. From 8:00 pm, every 30 minutes (8 pm – 8:30 pm – 9 pm – 9:30 pm – 10 pm -10:30 pm) “HALLOWEEN” Back by popular demand, the Egyptian Museum again offers an evening event for Halloween, only for the bravest children! The Museum’s archeologists will guide our young visitors through the “scariest” aspects of ancient Pharaonic culture. Prepare yourself for an evening full of surprises! Disguise yourself and have fun with us! 1 hour, € 7,00 (children) and € 10,00 (adults), for families, particularly those with children at primary school. RESERVATION REQUIRED.
Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November, 2012 at 10:30 am “ANIMALI O DEI?” In ancient Egypt, divine presence played a huge part in everyday life. How can we recognise the ways in which the divinities manifest themselves and demonstrate their huge power? A tour through the halls of the Museum will show children and their families various features of each god. 1 hour, € 3.50 (only in Italian, for family).
Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th November, 2012 at 10:30 am “A CASA DI KHA”, a guided tour a guided tour exploring the daily life of a family living 3,000 years ago. 1 hour, € 3.50 (only in Italian, for family).
Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th November, 2012 at 10:30 am “GEROGLIFICI…CHE EMOZIONE!” a tour explaining to children and adults the mysterious writing system of the ancient Egyptians. 1 hour, € 3,50 (only in Italian, for family).
Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November, 2012 at 10:30 am “UNA FAME DA OLTRETOMBA: food for both body and spirit”. A guided tour explaining the importance attached to food in Pharaonic civilisation. What did they eat in those days? And what did they keep aside for the Pharaoh and his journey into the afterlife? 1 hour, € 3.50 (only in Italian, for family).
