Activity for the schools and general information

The private company REAR runs many of the museum services, and employs specialist Egyptologists, archaeologists and art historians with museum education experience. The education programmes have been coordinated with the Soprintendenze.

Entrance for reserved school students is free. Guided tours with Egyptologists and the workshops vary in price according to the visit selected (detailed descriptions follow). Attending class teachers have free entrance.

The school must prepare a list of the participants, in duplicate, signed by the school head, and submit this to the Museum ticket office in order to enable free entrance by the class, teacher and accompanying adults.

Groups are asked to check in with the ticket office 10 minutes before their reservation time to expedite the procedures. Group may visit between 8.30 and 19.30 from Tuesday  through Saturday.
