On February 15, 2026, the Museo Egizio celebrates the 120th anniversary of the discovery of the tomb of Kha and Merit, one of the most important finds in Egyptian archaeology due to its state of preservation and the completeness of its funerary assemblage.

On the occasion of this important anniversary, for the first time and only from February 14 to August 10, 2026, two major loans from Paris, originating from the tomb of Kha and Merit, are on display at the Museo Egizio.

These are the pyramidion bearing the name of Kha, from the collections of the Musée du Louvre, and the Book of the Dead of Merit from the Bibliothèque nationale de France.

Thanks to research efforts and collaboration between institutions, it is possible for the first time to admire these artifacts in dialogue with the most important objects found in the tomb of Kha and Merit.

The exhibition is located in Room 7, within the museum itinerary dedicated to the tomb of Kha and Merit.
